Rwanda Stock Exchange shares rise as festive season closes-inThe Rwanda Stock Exchange share index (RSI) went up 1.36 points to close at 234.69 and mainly pushed by the rising Bralirwa share price which closed at Rwf 845.

 

The total turnover for the day was Rwf 86,298,200 from 7,400 BoK shares and 101,400 Bralirwa shares traded in seven deals compared to the last Friday trading session which recorded a total turnover of Rwf 13,035,600 from 18,500 BoK shares and 10,100 Bralirwa shares traded in seven deals.

 

The BoK counter traded at a high of Rwf 244 and low of Rwf 235 before closing at RwF 244, translating into a decline of Rwf 1 compared to the last Friday’s closing price whereas Bralirwa counter traded at a high of Rwf 845 and low of Rwf 830 before closing at RwF 845, increasing by Rwf 8 from last Friday’s closing price.

 

KCB shares last transacted at Rwf 185 while NMG and Uchumi Supermarket shares last transacted at Rwf 1,200 and Rwf 175 respectively.

 

At the end of formal trading hours, there were outstanding offers of 146,900 BoK shares between Rwf 244-260 and an outstanding bid of 850,000 shares at Rwf 235.

On Bralirwa counter, there were outstanding offers of 236,400 shares between Rwf 845-890 and an outstanding bid of 50,000 shares at Rwf 835.

On KCB counter; there were outstanding bids of 12,400 shares between Rwf 175-180 and no outstanding offers. On NMG counter; there was an outstanding bid of 1,000 shares at Rwf 1,200 and no outstanding offers.
