The 49th AfDB meetings kicked off today at Kigali Serena village with various discussion sessions focused on how Africa’s economy needs to be transformed in the next 50 years.

Discussants in the session where the Africa Transformation report 2014 was presented agreed on the need to transform agriculture into a business oriented specialty other than a traditional way of life, arguing that Agricultural transformation remains a major challenge to African economies despite the financing of the sector.
